Newspaper - April 28, 2021) In Ramadan, every Muslim wants to worship as much
as possible so that the pleasure and grace of Allah can be obtained and his
sins can be removed as much as possible. One of the major acts of worship in
Ramadan is Qiyam-ul-Layl, which is performed in the last ten days of Ramadan.
This worship has many virtues. However, due to the Corona epidemic, it was not
yet certain whether the UAE government would allow this supererogatory worship.
Because Taraweeh prayers
were allowed but its duration was only half an hour along with Isha prayers.
There is good news for the Muslims living in the UAE. According to the report
of Khaleej Times, the Emirati government has allowed the believers to worship
at midnight during Qiyam-ul-Layl, ie Ramadan.
In the meantime,
however, the Corona SOPs must be fully implemented.
This naafil prayer can
be offered in all mosques of the UAE. The National Emergency Crisis and
Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has announced that Qiyam-ul-Layl will be
allowed to be paid during the last ten days of Ramadan from 12 noon to 12:30
pm. However, people have to follow the instructions to wear Corona SOPs, ie
social distance.
It would be better for
the elderly and those suffering from chronic diseases to pray at home.
Otherwise, their health and lives could be endangered in the days of the Corona
epidemic. NCEMA says that half an hour has been allotted for this naafil
prayer. Worship will be held from 12 noon to 12:30 pm. Immediately after that,
all mosques will be closed.
I'tikaaf will not be
allowed in any mosque. It should be noted that Qiyam-ul-Layl means 'staying up
at night', that is, sacrificing one's sleep at midnight in order to gain the
pleasure of the Lord and being engaged in worshiping Him. There are many
virtues in the religious books of Qiyam al-Layl. The duration of this prayer is
from one hour to three hours, but due to the plague, half an hour of worship is
allowed.
Dubai (Urdu Point Latest
Newspaper - April 28, 2021) There is a great trend of entertainment parties in
the deserts of the United Arab Emirates. In the case of groups that come here,
they arrange barbecues and other entertainment, but the value of these
entertainment activities is coming to the fore in the form of death of animals.
Hundreds of camels have died so far as a result of swallowing plastic shoppers
and other remains, according to a UAE veterinary scientist.
According to Al Arabiya
News, the head of the UAE's Central Research Laboratory in Dubai, Dr. Alrich
Werner, a veterinarian and microbiologist, says that in the desert, camels
swallow pieces of plastic along with fodder and go into their stomachs or
intestines. Yes, they are not digested and eventually cause death.
In addition to camels,
many animals have died from desert debris.
These include turtles,
deer and sheep. "People set up tents and barbecues in the deserts on the
weekends, but the odor that spreads there after that is indescribable."
After that, plastic bags and other garbage are scattered here and there. When
camels swallow plastic, it causes obstruction or inflammation in their
intestines and then they become victims of bacterial diseases.
"Plastic can cause
stomach ulcers in camels and cause them severe pain. Because of this, they feel
like their stomachs are full, so they stop eating the right amount of
fodder," he said. They do not graze. This causes bleeding from their
intestines. They become dehydrated and then die. In the last few years, the
stomachs of 300 camels have been filled with plastic. During this study, the
team also medically examined a camel that had 200 plastic bags in its stomach.
A ban on the use of plastic is essential for the protection and survival of
other animals.
