A
country in Europe where Arabic words are common in the language
In 1964, the British Parliament recognized Malta as a
state under the Independence Act, headed by the Queen of Great Britain, and in 1974
it was recognized as the Republic of Malta.
In 1813, the British made this land their colony. The
people here gained independence after a long struggle and war. Located on the
shores of the Mediterranean Sea, the island of Malta is also known worldwide
for its natural beauty and historical sites. Valletta is its capital.
Malta is one of the smallest countries in the world in
terms of area. The island was ruled by Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs,
Normans, Spaniards, French, and British. The colors of these nations are
reflected in Malta's culture and its profound effects on history can be seen.

The influence of this civilization and culture is
especially evident in its architecture. In Malta, there are many ancient and
historical sites that are an attraction for those who are fond of art, culture
and history.
The official languages of Malta are Maltese (Maltese)
and English, while the region has Spanish, Italian, Roman and British periods
as well as Arab influences, but when it comes to the language, it is
interesting to note that Maltese is the language. Not under the influence of
French, Spanish and Italian, but is a Semitic language and belongs to the
Arabic and Hebrew group.
Lamdina (Al-Madinah), Ghein Tayba, Ghein Al-Kabira are
still popular names in the ancient and historical areas of Malta. The Arabs
ruled here until the eleventh century, when Spanish Catholics later ruled the
island. Today, the majority are Christians, while Muslims make up 2%. However,
the structure of the Maltese language is Arabic, with the addition of European
and English words over time.
Malta is also called the safest and most peaceful country
in the world. There are many ancient temples and other historical buildings,
while excavations in different periods have also uncovered cultural relics and
antiquities (part of the local museum).
